| Peggi Kroll Roberts introduces her new series of DVD lessons. Each lesson features one aspect of painting for students to focus on. The DVD lessons are 30 minutes and also include an introduction, a slide show, her 13 minute materials and supplies clip, biography and website link. DVD lessons and slide shows are unique to each DVD. Introduction, biography, materials and supplies clip, and website link are standard and repeated on each DVD. I take a photograph from my large library that shows a good example of how lights can sometimes wash out and how darks can go "black." By using one of my favorite "rules of thumb", color reference painted from life and the photograph for drawing I can get the painting to look more natural. That favorite "rule of thumb". . . "anything in shadow is darker than anything in the light." |
