27 Minute Lesson Plan: 2 Value Expressive Color Watch Preview Here: https://www.krollroberts.com/streaming-dvds/2-Value-Expressive-Color A fun way to explore and grow color knowledge. This exercise can be used with a still life also but we paint from the figure here. 10-15 minutes poses; that's it! Now mix two colors, any two colors, colors that make your heart sing. One color should be darker than the other. Here we have a strong light source so we have a clear light and shadow pattern. Use one color/value to represent the light source and the other color/value for the shadow. Get wild! You'll gain mileage in color relationships and value relationships and have fun while practicing. I've seen some gorgeous results! Peggi's lesson plans are designed to breakdown painting fundamentals into "one-idea-at-a-time" exercises. To create your own voice in painting you must have the tools to express yourself; understanding form, drawing, brushwork, design, color and materials. Peggi welcomes you to her studio where she explains each approach to these fundamentals. From Peggi's first recorded instructional demonstrations. Recorded in 2010.
