2 Value Expressive Color
Peggi Kroll Roberts
VIDEO LENGTH | 27 MIN - STREAM FOR 90 DAYS
A fun way to explore and grow color knowledge. This exercise can be used with a still life also but we paint from the figure here. 10-15 minutes poses; that's it! Now mix two colors, any two colors, colors that make your heart sing. One color should be darker than the other. Here we have a strong light source so we have a clear light and shadow pattern. Use one color/value to represent the light source and the other color/value for the shadow. Get wild! You'll gain mileage in color relationships and value relationships and have fun while practicing. I've seen some gorgeous results!
