42 Minute Lesson Plan: Figures in Sunlight Watch Preview Here: https://www.krollroberts.com/streaming-dvds/Figures-in-Sunlight This is my favorite subject and favorite painting condition; figures in bright outdoor sunlight. I quickly assess the direction of my light source, my darkest dark, my lightest light, my most intense color and my grayest color. I draw a line down the middle of my palette; a great tool for staying in control of value! Remember, the light is moving quickly. With these observations, I begin by massing my shadow area first with one tone, usually a neutral color. -Peggi Kroll Roberts Peggi's lesson plans are designed to breakdown painting fundamentals into "one-idea-at-a-time" exercises. To create your own voice in painting you must have the tools to express yourself; understanding form, drawing, brushwork, design, color and materials. Peggi welcomes you to her studio where she explains each approach to these fundamentals. From Peggi's first recorded instructional demonstrations. Recorded in 2010.
