All color and value masses meet other color and value masses to create edges. In this exercise, we examine these edges through a still life. We also explore surface quality by using a palette knife to create an energetic surface with interesting edge control. A general rule of thumb is cast shadow edges are generally crisper than form shadow edges. Just be a keen observer and compare the edges and experiment.
