Along with drawing, I believe values/tones are one of the most important fundamentals and one of the most powerful to picture making. Ideally, a strong design contains no more than 5 main value masses. Peggi paints from the model and demonstrates two simple, "3 value mass" plans interpreting the same view. It's great to practice different values plans for the same reference.
